Weldability
Welding of Grade 1xxx Aluminium Alloys is easily achieved using GTAW welding techniques. Grade 1xxx Aluminium is also easily joined or added to using brazing or soldering.
Machinability
Grade 1xxx Alloys are not easily machined- they are far better suited to being extruded or drawn into shape.
